Thought For The Day

2021 is Here

If you are reading this post 2021 has begun. Christ did not return for His Bride in 2020. I will not be writing Lloveletters after He comes because we won’t need them in Heaven. I wish I knew what 2021 holds for us. I am glad I don’t. I would worry and that is not what children of God are designed to do. This could be a very difficult year. . .or not, and that depends a lot on those of us who represent the Savior. I want to do that well in the coming days, weeks, months. . .because there will be more need for that than every before.

The virus is among us, and it is wreaking havoc in the Church of Jesus Christ. Some areas of our Country are asking, or demanding, that Christians not meet in groups beyond a certain number. . .but we are reluctant to obey those directions. While we understand submission to legal authority, we are are commanded to not forsake the assembly of Believers on a regular basis (see Hebrews 10:25).

The plethora of prophets (those who foretell what is going to take place) are continuing to imagine they have something important to proclaim sans Scriptural reality. Being wrong in the past seems to have no affect on their being wrong in the future. Getting one’s mind, under the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit in every genuine Believer, is the key to knowing what is real and what is speculation. Don’t be bothered by the foolishness of fools. “Seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things (necessities) shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)

Will Christ return for His Bride in 2021? No one knows. If He does, you best be ready. If He doesn’t, you best be ready. There will be great joy seeing others come to faith in Christ throughout the year – if He delays. If there is “persecution” in store for the Church (God’s people) this year, we will have the privilege of joining other saints of history past who gave all for the Savior – Who gave all for us. Perhaps there will be a great Revival before the Rapture – and we will see millions join us for our stint in infinite eternity.

Does what YOU do this year matter? YES!! Find Godliness, find purpose, find peace and joy, and share your faith, knowledge, and llove with others – starting with your family, your friends, your neighbors, and those with whom you work and play. Attend a Church that proclaims the Truth with clarity and authority. Go on a Mission Trip. Read/study the Bible more, pray more, give more of your time to Christ, and practice the discipline of Psalm 46:10.

This could be your last opportunity!
