Alpha and Omega

Not only is  our Heavenly Father the  Alpha, the Beginning, the Designer, the Creator, the Sustainer of all things, but also, the Omega, the End, who will bring all things to His chosen conclusion.

Somewhere in the midst of all the He has created, and all that will come to His end, we find ourselves. While it is true that the vast majority of people He created have ignored, in one way or another, His Way and Work, He continues to offer incredible resources, power, victory, peace, joy, and comfort, to those who are willing to “Fear Him and keep His commandments.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13)

So many in this life seek purposefulness only to find the opposite. Solomon, the wisest of all men, sought many – enlightenment, pleasure, vocation, materialism, power and fame, humanitarianism, relationships – but found meaningless disappointments. Ultimately he found the only goal in life that matters eternally.

He came to realize that God will bring every act to judgement, including every hidden thing, whether good or evil.

While time remains, perhaps it is time for each of us to evaluate what it is that we value above all else. His roll as Omega may be near.
