When one of the World’s largest groups of people who claim to be “God’s people,” shift again their practice regarding God’s design, it leaves one thinking that any thing, and consequently all things, can and will, at the whim of church leadership, become. . .flexible?

When the doctrines of men supersede the authority of God, it is a sad day for all Believers who hold dear the Truth of God’s Word.

Despite the Catholic Church’s longstanding prohibition on married men becoming priests, Pope Francis said he might consider making exceptions to ordain married men who are already heavily involved in the Roman Catholic Church in certain circumstances.  (TIME)

Paul, the Apostle, was crystal clear in Ephesians 4:14 when he told God’s people to avoid being blown about by every wind of doctrine. Those of us who are not Roman Catholic, and thus not bound by the Catholic catechism, find these kind of twists  damaging to the integrity of the genuine Church and an outright assault on the matchless Word of God.

Genuine Believers decry the humanism that leads men and women to reject the Truth of God’s Word, believe doctrines created by men out of whole cloth, and establish any practice inconsistent with the Truth.

Can’t we all just believe the Word of God? After all, it’s His Word.
