Finish Strong

Hebrews 12 is a wonderful Chapter in God’s Word (aren’t they all?). Unfortunately there are a passel of folks who have quit the race (see verses 1-2), or if not quit, stopped moving toward the goal. We find Believers who are so trapped by their history (past), worried about the present, and uncertain about the future, they are unable to “run the race” that is before them.

The writer of Hebrews makes it clear that Christ has finished “the course.” Because He would not quit during His moments of greatest agony, we have been redeemed. God has promised to us “every good and perfect gift”(James 1:17), everything we need to stay the course, finish the race, and find the victory that is already ours both now and in the future.

It is difficult to stay focused on the Savior when we allow ourself to be distracted by the things of the World. Obedience today leads to the very best tomorrow.

So. . .wise counsel: Focus on Jesus Christ. Run the race before you. Endure. The goal is near.
