Is America Burning?

It’s hard to know what is going on in Cities and Towns, and across the plains of our great Country. We are at the mercy of the “media,” and Heaven only knows what they are promoting, downplaying, and massaging to obtain the message they choose to send to those who read and hear.

A couple of things are true. Much is being destroyed, and people are dying. Washington, D. C. is a confusing, changing, confounding mess of greed, gluttony for power, and a Government gone goofy (out of control of “we the people”). Unwilling to enforce the necessities required to maintain civility, consistency, and control, States, Cities, and citizens (along with a rabble of non-citizens) are out of sync with mandatory societal requirements to maintain a Nation of peaceful, working, supportive and caring people.

It has been said that we are in the throes of a Civil War (actually a non-Civil War), and that the next step in the process is the introduction of armed warfare in the  streets and byways (already occurring in places). The outcome of the last Presidential election has not been accepted by the losing Party[ies] (as is required by the nature of our Governmental structure) and rebellion has boiled over into a division not unlike that which triggered the previous Civil War in our beloved America.

With boldness I shall remind you that this is not a surprise to our God who has been, by-in-large, discarded (Nationally by much of our Government, and ignorantly by a significant number of the American people), and the fruits of bitterness, hatred, discontent, division, and despair have overtaken a majority of those who fail to recognize His sovereignty and supremacy. Perhaps He (God) is about to send the Savior to retrieve His people from this soon to be destroyed Planet (which will be created anew – see Revelation 21ff). Baring that, do not think for one moment that He will not allow this Nation to crash onto the ash heap of many that have stood against Him in history past. Scripture is clear. Either we stand with Him, or we will fall without Him. What we cannot do is ignore Him as if He is not there, watching, waiting, ready to save or abandon according to our choices.

I fully believe that without His intervention our Nation is doomed to experience what so many Nations before us have experienced. It is not yet too late to return to His sovereignty in our lives. Perhaps, through His infinite grace (unmerited favor), and the obedience (personal and collective) of His people, and prayer (powered by His Spirit in each Believer), He will restore our Nation to it’s rightful place – “one Nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
