Thought For The Day

Is An Understanding of The Problem Coming?

The most interesting phrase I heard after the terrorists attacks in Paris, France, were those reportedly by President François Hollande that France would immediately close its borders. I was reminded of an admonition from my childhood – “It’s too late to close the barn door when the cow is already out.”

Refugees from war torn countries are flooding across borders, and illegal immigration is a bane of the 21st century. Many people feel that terrorists are easily disguised among those seeking asylum while escaping brutal governments. The reality is that no one really knows what will come from the mass migration that is occurring all over our World.

Spiritual damage in the life of a Believer often begins with the smallest of acceptances of the wiles of the Evil One, and subsequently grows to controlling proportions. Just as destruction and death are exported by terroristic organizations, so the Enemy of grace exports failure and despair into the life of Believers who are not protected by an intimacy of relationship with the the resident Spirit of God within them.

The Enemy cannot take the life of a Believer, but genuine spiritual impairment, along with discouragement often leading to despair, are the outcome of failure to keep the walls of relationship in excellent repair.

Once we learn that there are  precipitous mistakes easily made by inattentive individuals, perhaps we can move toward resolution.

    Amen.
But I surely hate the term “migration” for what is going on, as that is not what is occurring (the world uses it as part of the climate change religion to say people are moving due to change in the environment). better words are “invasion,” “forced March,” “Importation of cheap labor,” “destruction of the West” etc.
