It’s Coming …
Writing the Eulogy for the funeral of a friend, I stopped to think about something to say that I had never said before. It was as if the Spirit of God said to me (I heard no voice), open your Bible. My Bible was at hand and I picked it up, and opened it randomly. While I have read all of God’s word at one time or another, what my eyes fell on struck me with great surprise.
Isaiah 43:18-19..Was this a clue regarding what I should have used over and over in the eulogies I have shared?
As we get older, and the excitement of the past seems to be fading from us, we want to look back and soak in what we are losing, when in reality, everlasting, infinite glory is on the horizon. Just as our Father gave us this amazing life, there is a new life that we, His children, will enter for eternity.
