Thought For The Day

No Chicken

San Antonio city leaders have decided there will be no Chick-a-filet at the San Antonio airport. In a 6 to 4 vote the six wise men/women decided that the restaurant doesn’t represent the right attitude toward LGBTQ +++  folks, so SAT travelers will have to miss out on the “best chicken sandwich in the World.”

I am surprised that people are so foolish as to “punish” so many other people to give some unearned, unappreciated social nod to a tiny group of people (statistically)  in our “politically correct” environment.

I eat at Chick-a-filet on a regular basis. I don’t think I have ever thought, before stopping in, about their “moral values.” I think their chicken is great. The people who are employed there are smart, kind, gracious, accommodating, friendly, and understand “service.” It is the ONLY fast food restaurant I know that “expects” their employees to “care” about customers.

In the long run it is the airport and the city that will suffer loss. Those restaurants are “gold mines,” and the tax revenue is surely not insignificant.

And, and, and, Chick-a-filet doesn’t discriminate regarding who eats their food. It is only ignorant people who discriminate against them. I wish I had the opportunity to open a Chick-a-filet in my town. And I promise you this, anyone who wanted to would be able to eat there. . .just like anyone can attend the Church to which I go, because God lloves every human being enough to give His Son a ransom to save us all from the curse of sin and death.  (see John  3:16)
