Thought For The Day

Not All Thing Change

Automobiles that drive themselves, or those that one drives which stop when needed even if one does not touch the brakes, stay in a lane, signal when anything is too close, and warn one when driving skills are not as perfect as they need to be. There are trucks that will back one’s trailer wherever one desires to put it, without any help from the driver. Amazing!

I recognized that the coming  years are going to provide unbelievable (for us now) changes in and to our society and our individual life and work. There is one thing that will never change, however. Relationships. Interpersonal interaction, developing friendships, marriages, and any other human processes that require one’s personality to perform in a manner that results in reaching the desired goal, will never be automated.

It will always be a part of our nature to seek God in some form or fashion. Those who are not introduced to the One True God will create gods of their own, and worship those idols (anything that stands between us and the True God) with the same enthusiasm as those who worship the God of Scripture.

Outcomes will vary in the day to day relationships of life. But in the final analysis, at the end of life (or end of “the age”), everyone will face the God of all Truth, and, eternal life or eternal death. That encounter will be the final act of Earthly life, (through our individual death, or the end of the age) and we will spend eternity with God, or without Him. Don’t let anyone or anything distract you from that coming reality. Each individual’s time is limited, and the conclusion will be sure. Everything else will change until the end of time. Only God remains the same forever. For I am the Lord, I change not. . . (Malachi) 6:3a)
