    Who’s Running the Asylum

    I remember when my mostly perfect bride was a freshman student at the University we attended. I could walk her up the steps to the dorm, but not past the door to the lobby. PDA’s (public display of affection – like holding hands) were absolutely forbidden, and the dorm mother had a thousand eyes. Of course we had our own ideas about what ought to happen at that door, but we were not in charge – and now, much older and wiser, we are grateful for those who cared enough to help us stay on the right path.
