Pathways

For many people Proverbs 5:21 comes as a real eye opener. The book of Proverbs has a tendency to surprise folks when they finally begin to hear or see that God has a design for life – and it is mandatory to understand it if we are going to be obedient children of God.

“For a man’s ways are before the Lord’s eyes, and He considers all his paths.”  Perhaps you have thought that you are traveling through this World with no one watching the actions and circumstances of your life. I want to assure you that is not the case. The One who made you and placed you wherever you are is constantly alert to the workings of your life. “Carefully consider the path for your feet, and all your ways will be established.” (Proverbs 4:26)

Let me encourage you to be alert to your relational pathway with God. Watch what God is doing. Listen to what God is saying. Seek His will and understand His promises. (see John 5:19-20, 30) Work diligently on your pathway with your family. Practice the disciplines of Llove. Know the hearts of your children, and give them Godly, Biblical counsel as they take on this difficult life in our society. (see Ephesians 5:25; 6:4) Make certain of your pathway with the Church of Jesus Christ. We all have a ministry, and we all have a goal. (see Ephesians 4:12-13)
