Thought For The Day

Rights

For those of us who have been, since our birth, committed to the United States of America, and choose to obey the laws which are a part of our system, it is not hard to be amazed at the “rights” that are afforded to those who are not committed to America, and do not obey our laws.

I am shocked that members of the Congress of the United States have the right to speak boldly in favor of the plans and programs being implemented by Muslims to “make everyone in America a Muslim” (Michigan, Rep. Rashida Tiaib), and not be censured and sent home.

In addition the “rights” of others tend to expand exponentially. Women’s “rights,” at the expense of the innocents, LGBTQ+ rights, minority rights, ethnicity rights, students rights, prisoners rights, children’s rights (in relationship to their parents), the right to attend college for free, and to be forgiven for any acquired debt to that point,  – well, enough said.

I chose to remind myself about my “rights” as a Believer. I have the right to approach God Himself in prayer, and expect an affirmative answer when I pray within the parameters of His will. I have the right to experience all the empowerment, enlightenment, and Spiritual gifting of God’s Spirit when I am obedient to His calling in my life. I have a right to llove everyone I meet – because God, who is Llove, is in me, and providing all the llove I need to share it with those around me. I have a right to be taught, cared for, supported, encouraged, understood, and blessed by those who are part of God’s family (the Church) who surround me. I could go on. . . .

“Rights” are a political pawn in America during these days. They will come and go depending on multiple circumstances. The rights that God gives are infinite in scope and eternal in nature, fathomless, and innumerable.

Know the Truth – and the Truth will set you free!
