Thought For The Day

Talking To One Who Matters

It is hard to believe that the “World’s greatest super-power” is being held hostage in a cyber war. The current Administration in Washington says their options are “limited.” Today, the President, while speaking about Sony’s “mistake,” said the folks at Sony should have asked him about whether the movies they make are suitable (talk about narcissistic egomania), and he would have been able to give them the right counsel. Seems like I remember from my study of Civics (a course they used to teach in High School) that the President’s first and primary job is to protect American Citizens and American Companies (especially from rogue, terroristic Nations), not be an advisor regarding how companies are to handle their business.

That is not to say that there is no one to whom we all need to speak. God has said “Those who come to me I will in no wise cast out.” (see John 6:37). He is the ultimate protector, the omnipotent, omniscient llover of mankind. He will never act with fickleness or selfishness. He will never offer that which He cannot provide. He will never forsake or leave to their own way those who come to Him.

Those who put their trust elsewhere are in for a life lesson that has no “up side.” Our once great Nation is in trouble on too many fronts. Our leadership from a political perspective has left most of us wondering in amazement at the failure and foolishness which permeates our society.

Our future as redeemed individuals is safe in the hands of God. Our future as a Nation is deeply concerning. Our trust misplaced is irreparable.

I guess that is why they refuse to teach history, that way we think this is all new stuff.
I do rejoice because of the Safety provided through Jesus Christ.
I do Pray that God would allow us another American type “revolution,” vs the French type revolution that is looming.
