The End of “this” Life

The end of “this” life, the one here on Earth, is ever present, and evokes so many different feelings, ideas, concepts, and results in turmoil, to one degree or another, in almost every person alive.

I have reached the point in my life where many of my family, friends, people with whom I have shared great llove, and those with whom I have shared ministry, have reached the end of “this” life.

We know, of course, that is not the end of life. I have often said that every person created by God is immortal. There is life beyond “this” one which is undistinguishable, and every individual will one day face the Creator. To be prepared, and knowing that indeed one is, is the focus of ministry in my life – and that of so many others. None-the-less, it is an emotional struggle that evokes a catharsis experience for (almost) all. To face infinity without that preparation is unthinkable since it separates one from God for eternity.

In the busyness of “this” life, and the distractions (the Enemy is always “seeking those he may devour – 1Peter 5:8) which are ever present, it is not difficult to bypass every opportunity to see beyond “this” life. Please, don’t! The end of “this” life is on the horizon. Far away, or near, it is never more than a few heartbeats from you.
