Thought For The Day

The Tube

I believe we are seeing the “Tube” better than we have ever seen it before. Many of us have known it was there, waiting, open, ready, we just weren’t exactly certain what it looked like.

I can remember when the Policeman on the corner (a euphemism for the local officer who worked his “beat”) was a friend, helpful, kind, trustworthy, professional, and cheerful. That is/has changed. It will only get worse. It’s not so much the fault of the individual officer. There are a few officers who are mean and difficult. There always has been. Even those who are still a friend – and all those things I said above – are moving toward becoming difficult. It grows worse because they are scared, uncertain their role, and subject to the whims of government bureaucrats who blow in the wind of public opinion.

Fifty-one law enforcement officers were “feloniously” killed in the line of duty last year, the FBI announcedMonday, a steep jump from the year before. The new data comes a week after the fatal shooting of a New York City police officer and two days after two officers in Hattiesburg, Miss., were shot and killed. That figure represents an 89% increase from the 27 recorded in 2013, which the FBI called the lowest between 1980 and 2014. (TIME)

I can’t help but believe it is part of the “reprobate” mind. (See Romans 1:28) Policemen in Baltimore, MD, say they just don’t know what their role is anymore. The Federal Government seems intent on “federalizing” local Police Departments. Support for the Police from a majority of Citizens seem to be waning.

It’s all just grease for the Tube. Down, down, down!

Sometimes I think we desire to live in the Mad Max movies. The fascists/Communists/Nazi/Republicans/Democrats really want to control us and the quickest way is for us to follow them into godlessness.
