Thought For The Day

This Time

This time of the year is beautiful as new life begins to show and grow around us. At the beginning of next week the Church of Jesus Christ in this World will celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior from the dead. His sacrificial death on Calvary’s cross is the beginning of a new Covenant with God – one of eternal life through grace alone, by faith alone, in Christ alone. Thousand of Churches that proclaimed that theme over the years past will not do so this year because they have closed. It is expected that by next year, thousand more will close as well. The message of Truth and Grace will not be heard as often by as many, and some may never hear.

People who were once involved in the life and breath of a local congregation of Believers have found reason to stop attending, learning, growing, and sharing their faith with others. So many Churches have lost the ability to pay for their needs, staff their organization, “carry-0n” as vital bodies in their community as those who once supported the breath of genuine llove moved on to lesser things. It is important to remember that it is not the weakness of our Infinite, Omnipotent God that has turned the tide of the masses who once gathered in local Churches on Resurrection Sunday, and throughout the year, but the distraction of the Worldly evils that the Enemy has scattered along the highways and byways of life.

The Enemy has no power to control a genuine Believer, Redeemed by the grace of God, rather, each Believer who succumbs to foibles at the hands of the Enemy will gradually, or quickly, find lesser things guiding one’s life instead of the family of God as they consume the fullness of life in Christ. Christ designed His family, the Church, to llove, live, and learn together on the journey of life. Every year that TRUTH grows less important in so many lives.

The beauty around us this Resurrection Sunday is in the host of Believers who remind themselves that He’s alive. He’s alive. He’s alive. And, in Him, so are we.
