Tomorrow

Tomorrow is one of those sad, glorious day when one’s heart rejoices and weeps, certainty and uncertainty collide and what is left to us is God’s Word and the collected wisdom or all those who speak to the collected Body of Believers.

We will bury tomorrow the body of a Godly woman, a committed Church servant, a long trusted friend to all she knew, and a Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Saint.

Scripture is clear – “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. “ (2 Corinthians 5:8)

Words that confirm our faith, Truth that informs our understanding, and Hope (confidence) that we too shall be gathered to our Heavenly home there to dwell in perpetuity.

Yet still our human nature yearns for options, desires more Earthly time, and burns with the pain of loss.

Weep and rejoice. It is our lot. It is God’s design, and He is llove.
