What Do We Want?

What we want and what we get are not always the same thing. That is certainly true in politics. But whatever one’s political persuasion, one must be smart enough to understand the language if we are going to survive as a Nation.

There is a struggle going on regarding the next Justice for the Supreme Court of the United States. Getting that job may be about as hard as getting a job can be. One thing is for sure. Politics is much more important than justice in the eyes of many politicians.

Kavanaugh’s wording has many pro-choice organizations up in arms and is said to be proof of his pro-life leanings. Many opposing Kavanaugh’s confirmation have argued if he is approved, he will attempt to overturn Roe vs. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide. (TIME)

Am I to suppose to believe it would be OK to have a pro-abortion leaning candidate? Or better yet, how about a completely amoral candidate. The Truth is that we need a candidate for the Court who is willing to follow the Constitution of the United States and makes decisions about outcomes after hearing and understanding all the evidence in any given case that comes before the Court.

Abortion is pre-meditated, first degree, capital murder. Our Nation is founded on the principle that everyone has a God-given right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Every pre-born child is a person who deserves that protection.

If God brings judgement on our Nation, I will be among the first to believe it is a result of our willingness to murder the most innocent among us. It would not be the first time God has done so. Baal worship brought judgement to Israel during the reign of Ahab. . .because, in part, their children were made to “pass through the fire.” (Study their sacrifices to Baal).

We best get a pro-life leaning justice. God will not tarry forever.
