Thought For The Day

What to Do

It’s Over! It’s not Over yet! There is a bit of variance between opinions. So what is one supposed to do? Wait! Yeah, we all gotta do that, but we can’t suspend life for however long that takes. So here’s a (my) solution.

I am going to a ball game this evening. Football. Well, you probably call it Soccer. Anyway, I am going and I will enjoy a great evening watching, hoping, believing, and in all probability, be  disappointed with the outcome. Then I will drive home and get ready for tomorrow’s meeting with colleagues for Ministerial Alliance, gathering with my Church family for Bible Study and Prayer. In between I will see some folks who need seeing, check the mail, grab a bite or two to eat, make a few phone calls, and maybe write another Lloveletter. Overall I am just going to go on with life as usual.

If we knew what was coming, when it’s over, we could begin to plan and prepare. We could look forward with excitement, or be careful to not get depressed that things may be tougher, and much will change. Thing always change! When we know what is changing we can move on doing whatever it is our Father has designed us to do in the newness, just as we did in the “oldness.”

Here’s a simple Truth. . .and maybe if we are carefully diligent a plan for the future. God has not changed. He has not lost control, nor has he become now impotent in the affairs of life. He still reigns. He still lloves all mankind, and he is still the only grace by faith Redeemer. He has called His people to the joy of sharing the Gospel, proclaiming TRUTH, and lloving those we can impact in our relationships. We can find folks to help, folks to llove, folks to intertwine into our life, and revel in the freedom that is ours because we know the revealed Truth of His Word.

It “ain’t over till it’s over.”  Consider the lilies! (Matthew 6:28ff) I suggest you move forward with obedience, power, and unparalleled joy. After all. . .we win in the END!!
