Where Is Your Focus?

If one just reads the “news” in the media, it would be simple to come to a conclusion about where our society’s focus is. There is a short blurb from Fox News regarding the probability that Bo Bergdahl will be charged with desertion. You remember Bo. He is the American soldier who  was “bought” from the Taliban with five  high ranking Taliban prisoners released from Gitmo.

There was today a even more brief note in Business Week regarding a video release by ISIS on the 26th of January stating that they were going to behead President Obama in the White House in short order.

Meanwhile it is impossible to miss the “news” regarding the Patriots and their troubles over under-inflated footballs. Article after article and news story following news story abound in this incredibly complicated (and vitally important) investigation regarding the issue.

It’s no wonder some folks (me included) worry about the stability of America.

I would default the Christian community as well. While many, if not most, Believers seem to be focused on the “things of Earth,” there is relatively little focus on Heavenly things. The Church seems eerily silent on the current holocaust of “Christians” around the World. I am reminded of how few stood up during the 1940s for the Jews during the holocaust in Germany, or how few speak with forceful concern against the ongoing holocaust of the unborn. The same is true for those unwilling to take a Biblical stand regarding the  holocaust of morality perpetrated by the LGBT agenda.

It’s about time Believers check the focus.
