Thought For The Day

Who Cares?

When life is going badly for us we sometimes ask, regarding our circumstances, the question, “Who Cares about me.” The Scripture answers the question with certainty.

In the eighth Psalm, the Creator of all that exists, and the One in whom all things consist, is asked that question:

“What is man that You remember him, the son of man that You look after him. . . .” (Psalm 8:4)

It is hard to imagine the One who rules the Cosmos would focus on this tiny planet and its inhabitants. Yet, clearly, God is focused on mankind. We talk a lot about how we need to concentrate on Him, but overlook how His involvement with us is his evident priority.

My longtime friend, Ron Hodan, is an excellent Bible teacher. Many admire him for his skill in the Word of God. He has always made it clear that one verse (perhaps among many) that he cannot get his mind around intellectually is John 3:16. “How,” he says, “could God llove me?” And that is the answer, of course. God’s last creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), thus far, is the central point of His care and concern.

When you get a little discourage, or unsure of yourself, or caught in a difficult circumstance, be reminded, whatever others may do, HE CARES!

Be certain you know that He proved His llove and care for you, without reserve, on a hill outside the city of Jerusalem some 2000 years ago. There is no care greater.
