Why?

Sometimes I hear, read, or see things that leave me shaking my head in wonder. Maybe you experience the same things

KLTV in Tyler, Texas frequently promotes their Spanish language news reports. “Noticias del Este de Texas” is always advertised on television in English. Wouldn’t it be wiser to advertise it in Spanish?

Most thinking persons are quick to embrace an offer for a second chance regarding those individuals who pay for their journeys outside the law (jail, prison, fines, etc.), if they are willing to abandon criminal behavior, live their life in accord with the laws of our Country, and are willing to be reintegrated into society. Except, of course, if they have been accused of “sexual harassment (no matter if it was many years ago), or, at any time in their life, vocalized or wrote a racial slur. In those two cases (even though no laws are broken) they should be stripped of their jobs, their reputation, and every altruistic operation of their life. They certainly should not be allowed to participate in “normal society” ever again.

Multitudes of people who are quick to announce their desire to enter Heaven at the close of their life on Earth, believe they are worthy to do so (based on any number of assumptions and incorrect understandings of orthodox Theology). Perhaps they fail to understand that Heaven will be filled with the people of God, who will worship the Lord God infinitely, and live eternal lives of Holiness and Llove – while in the present they are unwilling to associate with God’s people in the Church of Jesus Christ, join in Worship (through attendance at a Church of choice), and adapt their lives by the power of God’s Spirit from rebellion in light of Truth to obedience in all Truth. Seems they would be “out of place.”

I just can’t help but wonder why these conundrums (and endless other “strange behaviors”) affect reasonable minds. If you have any answers to the issue – let me know.
