New Friend
I found a new friend. There all the time I had just overlooked this friendship because it was not on the way to anywhere I was going. Accidentally I stumbled into it as I was surveying my folio of wonderful friends.
Getting through the “stuff” that separated us from spending time together took a while, and while I still have much more to do in clearing the path to a comfortable relationship, I will get it done. . .relatively soon.
There were a plethora of difficulties. The “ugly” things that stood in the way were heavy and myriad. I have to admit that the work of succeeding took time and effort that I could have ignored. . .after all, I have hundreds of friends (with all of them being difficult to maintain in one way or another), and this one is going to take more work, energy, time, and commitment than I really need to spend on a new friend.
Life is filled with difficulty unfortunately, and I sometimes find the environment more than I want to work through, but I believe this one is a winner. Tall, strong, and in a good place, why not take the time and expend the energy.
And just in case you are wondering, it’s an Oak, about 60 feet tall, and really beautiful. Come by, I will introduce you.
