Why?
Why do you go to Church? Or, if you don’t, why not? Let me share with you five simple reasons for doing so. If you are attending, and these things aren’t happening, something is wrong. If you are not attending, and you are a Believer, perhaps you just need a reason to start doing so,
- It (the Church of Jesus Christ) is probably your best means by which to grow in pursuit of Spiritual maturity. See Romans 8:29. Biblically, Spiritual maturity is never just about what you know, but always about how God’s grace has employed what you have come to know so that you are pleasing in His sight.
- It is where you will learn to become diligent in prayer. See 1 Thessalonians 5:16-19. Prayer is our communication with God as our ultimate source for all things.
- It is where we learn the TRUTH contained in Scripture, God’s perfect Word. See Psalm 19:7-11; John 8:32. The Teacher of God’s Word is always the Holy Spirit. At the Church you can hear the “words” that He will make a reality in your everyday life.
- You will intertwine your life with the Family of God. See Hebrews 10:24-27. You meet someone, you get to know someone, you begin a relationship with someone, you learn to build each other’s faith, and llove grows and . . . .
- You will find a fresh measure of peace and joy in the midst of all the struggles of life. See John 14:27; John 15:11. Christ came to Earth to change everything. . .including you.
