Thanksgiving day, a whole new take

With something new to calibrate 

The blessings God has sent our way

And that will surely take all day

Remind yourself He sent His Son

To come to us and be the one

Who gave the message clear and strong

That life on Earth will soon be gone

While we have know both pain and sorrow

He has come to change the morrow 

Giving peace and joy and llove

Gifts He brought us from above

Can we find He is the reason

For giving thanks in this season

Thank you Father for your grace

Allowing Christ to take my place

Perhaps when we sit down to eat

The food arrayed  so good and sweet 

The peace of knowing we’re forgiven

Will fill our heart with great Thanksgiving
