The Goal
Does your Church have a goal which you know and understand? I don’t mean something like – “To Reach People For Christ.” That, of course, is a reality for every Church, or it isn’t, which determines whether it is indeed a Church at all.
I am talking about what your Church, and its leadership, and every individual member, is doing in regard to becoming the people of God in every aspect of Biblical Truth.
A quick look at just a couple of verses in Philippians (Chapter 1:9-11) will stimulate your research regarding the operations of your “body of Christ.” Here is a short outline to get you on track.
Does llove abound? Is there knowledge and understanding of genuine llove?
Is there discernment possessing moral clarity, insight, and practical application of that knowledge? Is there a perceptive, careful scrutinising to distinguish between right and wrong?
Is there a total commitment to excellence in establishing right priorities? Are the people “sincere, without offence, blameless, and practicing relational integrity?”
Well, there is a beginning for you to ask questions, seek clear understanding, and become what our Father designed for us as we wait for His return.
