Very Full?
I heard a spokesperson say that this past month had been very good for Southwest Airlines. What he said was, “Our flights have been very, very full.” Is that “very, very full” as opposed to just “regular full?” Or does “very, very full” mean they are letting people stand in the aisles when the seats are taken? I’m just wondering.
The Word of God commands believers to be “filled” (or full of) with the Holy Spirit. (see Ephesians 5:18) Just to be clear, “filled” in the Scripture means “to be under the control of.” Believers are commanded to be “under the control of the Spirit.” Keep in mind that you can’t be “almost” controlled by the Spirit. You can’t be partially controlled by the Spirit. And conversely, you can’t be “very, very” controlled by the Spirit.
Southwest’s airplanes are either full, or they are not full. You, as a believer, are either under the control of the Spirit or you are not. I suggest the former.
