Now, For A Whole Different Thing. . .
There is an serious attempt to extinguish Christianity. I know it can’t be accomplished, but there are a multitude of Believers around the World that are not as “safe and secure” as we here in the United States.
There are always pre-cursors that develop prior to the fall, and we are pretty poor at recognizing them. Our Government, in particular, because they are so consumed with making everyone “equal,” (especially when it comes to “religion”) are missing what will ultimately bring to this Nation greater persecution of Believers.
Ann Coulter, one of my favorite writers, points to the “circumstance” that I believe shows clearly that we will miss the opportunity to remain, as a Nation, Christian. Speaking to the issues of “terrorism” as seen in the latest attempted bombing in New York City, she said –
First of all, having the Transportation Security Administration wanding infants, taking applesauce away from 93-year-old dementia patients, and forcing all Americans to produce their shoes, computers and containers with up to 3 ounces of liquid in Ziploc bags for special screening pretty much blows that “not intimidated” look [our leaders] want America to adopt. Meanwhile, on that same Monday [the day the “terrorist was captured] at JFK airport, approximately 100,000 passengers took off their shoes, coats, belts and sunglasses for airport security. But the “highly trained federal force” The New York Times promised us on Oct. 28, 2001, when the paper demanded that airport security be federalized, failed to stop the only guy they needed to stop at JFK last Monday — the one who planted a bomb in the middle of Times Square days earlier.
These people (terrorists) are consumed with destroying a plethora of things, and if we think Christianity is not one of them, we are asleep at the wheel. And, while I freely admit they will be unsuccessful in destroying Christianity, if we don’t get a handle on their goals, Believers in this Nation will begin to suffer like those in many other Countries.
Wake up, America! Wake up, Believer! God did not promise you a life protected from persecution and pain, struggle and strain. The Church in America has become soft and malleable. That is a huge mistake.
