Good Blood/Bad Blood

I never ceased to be amazed at some things! Can you imagine. . .well perhaps you can. . .the following report from Time Links (Time magazine on-line):
Holy Blood: A Polish church is going to install a vial of Pope John Paul II’s blood as a holy relic. The blood —originally drawn for medical tests shortly before his death — will be encased in crystal. (the Huffington Post)
In an institution supposedly dedicated to a proclamation of the Good News of Christ’s sacrifice by the shedding of His blood for our Salvation, here’s one who wants to focus on the blood of a man – a man! Redeemed? Perhaps. But there is nothing HOLY about his “medical waste.”
It’s no wonder men and women are confused. We’re losing the battle and it’s we who are sometimes the biggest enemy.
