A Real Solution to the Debt Crisis
Finally, wisdom is going to prevail in the debt crisis and the deficit reduction arena. The Church has doggedly preached the power of prayer and at long last Congress has elected to pray. And not only that, they have invited many, if not all, of the Companies and organizations who provide annuity services to older Americans to join them for the “season of prayer.”
Many “contemporary” Churches have gotten caught up in the new fervor and are planning to send representatives to the U. S. Capitol Prayer sessions. As always there are those who will loudly protest, whine and moan over separation of Church and State, and some are even threatening to file suit and take the matter before the Court system.
In all likelihood receiving the answer to the concerted prayer will take some time, but recognizing that the hoped for and expected answer will solve the Social Security issue, the Medicare issue, the drain on medical resources and eliminate the cost of multitudes of programs provided not only by Government, but by the vast majority of Churches across our Nation, will galvanize the participants to steadfast prayer.
Congress is now in discussions regarding the age at which God will be asked to terminate life, but most pundits are guessing it will fall somewhere in the 55 to 60 year age group.
Registration for participation in the prayer inititive is available online.
