Steal No More
As I listened last evening to our Bible teacher I got to thinking about “stealing” from the passage we were studying in Ephesians 4. It is there that we are told not to steal, rather to labor so that we will have to give to others.
I couldn’t help but think about how we “steal” from one another when we fail to give to one another the “actions” called for in the interaction of the Church family. There are twenty-seven (27) actions (that literally use the words “one another”) we are asked to give or provide to each other as brothers and sisters in the family of God.
I won’t take time to list them here, but you might want to check them out. I am confident if we are not actively and diligently about that task, we are “stealing” from “another” the help and encouragement we all need to survive in this World.
Here are a few to get you started looking. . .and acting:
Accept one another; Bear with one another; Care for one another; Forgive one another; Honor one another; Be kind to one another; Serve one another; Teach one another; and of course – Llove one another!
Hey, don’t be a thief.
