What Would You Expect?
I can’t help but be amazed when the “media” folks are confused about what to expect. How could anyone be surprised when a political candidate says or infers different things depending on the audience? Why is it surprising when a candidate “changes his/her mind” when it appears the change will promote their particular agenda?
Why would it be surprising that a Southern Baptist Pastor would say what is generally believed by Southern Baptists?
On Friday, Texas pastor Robert Jeffress, . . .described Mormonism as a cult to reporters at the conference. . . . (Reuters)
Dr. Jeffress is right, of course, and the candidate he supports may or may not agree with his position (his campaign said the candidate did not agree), but he ( or his campaign personnel) certainly shouldn’t be surprised.
Christians are under orders not to lie, mislead, twist, or turn from. Dr. Jeffress has provided evidence he has the convictions of one who know the Truth.
