Christian?

The Presidential campaign is moving into high gear (I guess we don’t need those conventions – should save some money) and it looks like it is going to go the way most of the “races” do.

Rather than an intelligent presentation and discussion of ideas, plans, proposals, and intended legislation bent on solving our problems, righting the ship of State, and saving America, it looks as if both sides will do everything possible to destroy the character, ideas, family, and future of “the other candidate.” Sort of the old “everything is fair game in politics.” If war is Hell, politics can’t be far behind.

Since both the Democrat and Republican candidates seem to have been “pre-chosen” (meaning, prior to the nomination) I expected (hoped; dreamed; imagined) something different. Both have taken great pains to proclaim that they are “Christians.” I was thinking maybe they (and consequently their minions) would act accordingly while demonstrating, under the power of the Holy Spirit within them (see Romans 8:9), the characteristics of their Lord and Savior.
