Suffering Fools

Are we moving toward a society that will be required to “suffer fools?” Perhaps, just maybe, we are “safe” now. Both major political parties now have the name “God” in their platform. It was “touch and go” there for a while, but I guess I will just relax and see how it all turns out.

Let’s just say “some ones” had “questioned Democrats’ initial move to omit the word ‘God’ from the party’s official platform.” (Yahoo News) But the power brokers at the Convention got it (“the word”) put back in. Not everyone was happy:

Noor Ul-Hasan, a Muslim delegate from Salt Lake City, Utah, said she felt it went against the principle of the separation of church and state. “There are people who don’t believe in God and you have to respect that as well,” Ul-Hasan said. She also questioned whether the convention had enough of a quorum to even amend the platform. “There was no discussion. We didn’t even see it coming. We were blindsided by it.” (Ibid.)

Well, I don’t want you to be “blindsided.” So here’s a little info for you. God was pretty clear about those who do not believe in God. He said in Psalm 14:1 and repeats it in Psalm 53:1 -“The fool says in his heart, “God does not exist.” (HCS).

I’m just not big on “suffering fools.” And I have no appreciation for those who wish to take our Country in that direction and I don’t “have to respect that.”. God said, “They consume my people as they consume bread; they do not call on the Lord. They will be filled with terror for God is with those who are righteous.” (Psalm 14:4-5)

Now, just so you will know, that is not “political” with me. It’s personal! I generally encourage  a little respect from those who are speaking about my Father. I can’t force you to llove Him, but, as far as respect goes, He has earned it.
