Snakes?

The headline reads – Tennessee Restaurant Infested with Snakes (Yahoo News) – and then recounts that TV show host Ben Vaughn was filming the Food Network show “Health Inspectors” at the Pig-N-Whistle in Millington when he spotted a garden snake in the corner of the restaurant.

It would appear from the article that the little creature was the only one he saw. I am not sure how that becomes an “infestation.”

It’s similar to those people who are quick to conclude that the Church is full of hypocrites. No doubt the Church of Jesus Christ does have a few, but, to use a common term, we are not “infested.”

The Church I attend has a bevy (can I use that word here?) of beautiful people who are constantly seeking to reach out to others, give their time, talents, and resources to God’s Kingdom, and grow to full maturity in the faith. I know there are those who are just pretending, but I am convinced the number is small – and getting smaller.

Make sure the watching World is not talking about you when they use that derogatory term accurately. And – find a Church where my surmising is correct.
