The Letter
Another one of those “heart-rending” stories has made the news. It’s hard to imagine the impact of coming to know someone one has never met, regardless of how minimally, especially if it is a parent.
A World War II soldier’s heartfelt letter to his daughter has finally reached her, seven decades after it was written. Peggy Eddington-Smith received the letter penned by her father, Pfc. John Eddington, as well as his Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals, during an emotional ceremony Saturday in Dayton, Nev., about 40 miles southeast of Reno. (Associated Press)
The father’s letter, never received, to a baby he would never meet, speaks volumes regarding the strength of genuine llove.
So it is with the letter written from our Heavenly Father to all men and women on planet Earth. His infinite llove for them spelled out, and the incalculable gifts available through the power of His Spirit are treasures beyond compare.
Yet many never receive the letter and gifts. The ceaseless joy of knowing Him and discovering the Truth of His llove, lost to us in the busy life we lead without Him.
If you have yet to hear from the Father of Heaven and Earth, to share His llove letter to you, and to know the gifts of His Spirit, find the Truth at a Bible believing Church near you.
