Christians – the New Minority?
Actually, as I understand the term, Christians have always been, and always will be, the minority. When Jesus spoke about the “narrow gate” and the “straight way,” He said clearly, “few there be that find it.” Up until now, however, we have been mostly free to exercise our beliefs and practices without interference of the judicial system. That appears to be changing – not surprisingly.
DENVER (Reuters) – A Colorado bakery owner illegally discriminated against a gay couple when he refused to bake a wedding cake for the pair last year because of his Christian religious beliefs, a judge ruled on Friday. Administrative Law Judge Robert Spencer ordered Jack Phillips, owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop in suburban Denver, to accommodate sex-couples or face fines and other possible penalties.
We are commanded by Scripture to not sin, and to always refrain from supporting those who do. While we often miserably fail at the first problem, we have sometimes succeeded at the second. That appears to be something that will be changing as our society adopts the full scope of the LGBT agenda.
Our children will suffer, should Christ delay His return for His Bride, at the hands of our judicial system. We cannot count on support from local and National Legislators, or National Leadership. Destruction of our society is underway – this is only a sample – and I am confident God is not unaware of our circumstance. His intervention on our behalf may be past. Perhaps judgment is here.
