Thought For The Day

A Bible Money Code

I don’t know much about financial matters and wise investments. I do know a little about the Bible. I leave the money operation to the person who controls the finances in my little world. I keep hearing about this thing called “The Biblical Money Code.”  The promoter is a “former pastor,” (which ought to tell you something,  if you are wise) who says there is a “money code” woven throughout Scripture. If you can discover this “code” you can go from making not much to making a whole lot (simply put, unlike the endless drivel you have to listen to to find this “code”).  I just can’t seem to listen more than a few minutes to the “sales promotion” as it repeats over and over again the same trite illustrations, illusions, and ignorance.

What bothers me is that they use the Word of God to promote this foolishness. The Scripture is filled with promises, certainties from God Himself, and there is never any doubt as to His veracity, power, or ability to perform as He has spoken. Yet this particular program gives one some very important information – in tiny little print – right up front.

Before you get excited about the possibilities of the Biblical code being pushed by a used-to-be pastor, read the fine print:

NO GUARANTEE OF ANY KIND IS IMPLIED OR POSSIBLE WHERE PROJECTIONS OF FUTURE CONDITIONS ARE ATTEMPTED. IN NO EVENT SHOULD THE CONTENT OF THIS REPORT BE CONSTRUED AS AN EXPRESS OR IMPLIED PROMISE, GUARANTEE OR IMPLICATION BY OR FROM THE SERVICES, NEWSMAX OR ANY OF ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES OR OTHER AGENTS THAT YOU WILL PROFIT OR THAT LOSSES CAN OR WILL BE LIMITED IN ANY MANNER WHATSOEVER. SOME RECOMMENDED TRADES MAY INVOLVE SECURITIES HELD BY OUR OFFICERS, AFFILIATES, EDITORS, WRITERS OR EMPLOYEES, AND INVESTMENT DECISIONS MAY BE INCONSISTENT WITH OR EVEN CONTRADICTORY TO THE DISCUSSION OR RECOMMENDATION IN THE SERVICE.

Compare that to the promises of God!

And, if you’re looking for a Biblical money code – try this one: “Give, and it shall be given unto you. . . .” (Luke 6:38)
