Blue Moon
When I emerged from my car to begin my run, the moon was so bright I realized I needed no flashlight to light my way. I enjoyed watching the eclipse, and could see the “blood moon” as the eclipse was ending.
The spectacle was particularly captivating because it was the convergence of three rare events: a super moon, blue moon, and total lunar eclipse — which turns the moon orangish-red, hence the “blood” description. There won’t be another so-called “super blue blood moon” until 2037. (TIME)
I had heard that this event would happen on Wednesday morning, but I was surprised when I remembered to look up. With a tendency to get focused on what I am doing, I sometimes forget to watch for these kinds of God’s revelation.
I never ceased to be amazed at the beauty God has built into His Universe. Folks who believe such amazing things are just part of a evolutional “chance” which rules our World are obviously intellectually challenged in believing that such could/would ever happen by accident. Our World contains such intricate design that wise people are constantly amazed at the incredible beauty that is ours for the taking (or looking).
He made the heavens skillfully.
His love is eternal.
He spread the land on the waters.
His love is eternal.
He made the great lights:
His love is eternal.
the sun to rule by day,
His love is eternal.
the moon and stars to rule by night.
His love is eternal. (Psalm 136:5-9)
