And Now. . .
The last of the family and guests are gone. Thanksgiving week was a wonderful time of family and friends sharing our lives together, enjoying great conversation, magnificent food, and some good ‘ole farm foolishness.
Now we can look toward Christmas. Here is a fact you may not know:
There are more people living today than have ever died.
You might want to read that again. Here’s the thing. That means there is a greater opportunity to share the Gospel than ever before. Everywhere around you there are people who do not know the genuine joy of Christmas. The have not met the God who chose to become incarnate as a man. While Believers will celebrate His birth some 2000+ years ago, more people than ever before will spend this season never knowing God came in the flesh to ransom them from the curse of sin and death.
What better gift to share (not just on Christmas day) during this season of the year? Someone, maybe many someones, will listen if you will share your faith with them. Open the Scripture and proclaim the birth of the Christ child, so long ago in Bethlehem, during this season when so many redeemed people celebrate that infinite demonstration of llove. Don’t let your lloved ones and friends miss the “reason for the season.”
The season is short. The opportunities are myriad. The need overwhelming.
Do it now. Do it during the entire season. Do it for the sake of Heaven. Do it for the joy of knowing peace With God, and the peace Of God. Do it because, as a Believer, you have been commissioned, and empowered to do it. Do it because someone will not hear it if y0u don’t.
Just say it. “Jesus lloves you”. . .and you are on your way!
