About God

One need only listen to know that there is a lot of talk about God these days. Unfortunately, some of the loudest voices proclaim a God who does not fit at all into the Scripture.

Most have designed a God who is acceptable to us. One who is not honored in everything. He has no place in the Public Square. He is removed from Government. He is a God to be kept in check.

He lacks power. He has good ideas and noble intentions, but He is hindered by people who thwart His design.

He is lacking in knowledge. He wants to build His Kingdom but does not know how. He does not know the future and He reacts to what happens.

He wants everyone to be happy, prosperous, and heathy, but lacks a plan to accomplish that.

He would never utilize Hell. His righteousness is limited. He is not really Sovereign.

Here’s some “home work” for you. Read the following Scriptures which speak of the one True God who is:

Eternal: Psalm 90:2; Job 38,39, 40.

Immutable: Psalm 102:25-27; Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8

Omnipresent: Jeremiah 23:23-24;  Psalm 139:7-10.

Omniscient: Psalm 147:5; Romans 16:27
