Am I Missing Something

One of the most important Biblical admonitions – translated into the RWV (revised West version) – says: “Watch your mouth and be careful what you say.”

Hence I was a little taken aback with ABC News’ “five things you need to know today.” Here’s the one that got me thinking – duh, am I supposed to know this?

2. Obama Supports Syrian Opposition :
President Obama has secretly authorized support to Syrian opposition, stopping short of arming rebels. This comes at a time when al-Qaeda is making an effort to assist Syrian rebels.

Isn’t this supposed to be a SECRET? Maybe I am just missing something. Maybe it’s just politics, or diplomacy, or negotiation, or hype, or hyperbole, or distraction. Maybe it is that no one really knows who is doing what to whom, or when they are doing it.

I often hear “preachers” (a four letter word with too many letters) talk about the “secrets” in the Bible. You have heard them – “Let me tell you the four secrets to genuine happiness.” NEWSFLASH! There are no secrets in the Bible. God has made Himself and His activities CLEAR and PLAIN. Anyone who tells you different is just practicing politics, or diplomacy, or negotiation, or hype, or hyperbole, or distraction. . .or something.
