Another Tax
I guess I haven’t been listening. I was scanning a few articles this morning regarding the “Occupy” movement, and discovering some things I didn’t know. I have realized that there are a couple of “demands” they are not seeking – (1) Everyone take a bath (2) Everyone keep your tent area tidy.
In one Associate Press article, however, I did find this:
The “financial crisis responsibility fee” tax proposal of last year, . . . apparently a proposal of the Obama Administration. What exactly is that?
We (my family) have had an occasional “financial crisis” over the years. We learned pretty quickly how to fix it without any “outside” (read: tax) help. Really, it pretty simple: STOP SPENDING.
Actually we don’t have a lot of those kinds of problems. We have learned to live within our means, practice frugality, and trust God for his promised provision as a result of our obedience to His Truth. (see Philippians 4:19 – be sure to read the preceding 18 verses and the first three chapters)
Maybe we should start a movement call “Occupy Truth.”
