Thought For The Day

Another “Thank You”

I was thinking as I read an article in the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram today, about the marvelous choir that inhabits the loft in our Church.

FORT WORTH — Guess you could say this choir class ended on a sour note. When students in the choir’s soprano section commented that the alto section was sounding “flat,” it apparently didn’t sit well with one alto at a Fort Worth middle school on the north side.                                                    (dboyd@star-telegram.com)

The article went on to say that the young lady used some pretty foul language (repeatedly) and was sent to the Principal’s office. She was even written a “citation” by the school’s security personnel.

Our Choir, at the Church I attend, is not the largest one around, but they are one of the best. Excellent singers, superb leadership, and a wonderful, warm attitude, provides really great music and leads us all to worship better.

How long has it been since you thanked your Choir, a member of your Choir, or you Choir director, for the “gift” they give to you each time they sing? To borrow a phrase – “well that’s too long.”

Do it this Sunday!
