Best Year Ever

You may want to check out the Pastor’s message for January 10 (available on this website). While he specifically talked about the life of Shady Grove Baptist Church, most of what he said is applicable to each of us individually.

If we measure our year from a spiritual perspective, there are some things we ought to know:

God, the Creator and Sustainer, lives in His people. He needs nothing and consequently is only focused on giving to us (His children) the best gifts possible. Since He is in control of everything. . .everything, nothing can stand in the way of His providing us with every resource we need to make this year the best ever. The Pastor said that it will be “His (God’s) joy to provide us a clear path to victory” in ever facet of life.

Surely, you say, their must be something on our part? Yes. Absolute obedience! And there is the rub. While God’s infinite grace, llove, and sufficiency is available to us, we discover and claim it only through our disciplined obedience to His revealed Word.
