You may have missed this post the last few days (I really hope so). 19 of my friends and I spend Friday and Saturday “in the woods.” We couldn’t make the “Titanic” trip, so we gathered for a bit of fishing, shooting, spitting, and chewing the fat (actually is was pork ribs cooked to perfection on a pecan wood smoker). I am sure a person can get close to God in the woods, beside a lake, lying around on fresh pine needles, among the spring flowers and leafy trees. Of course, one can get close to God anywhere, but maybe it is easier surrounded by His incredible “nature” and such.…
