Discovering the Truth

It may not be the first, but I am glad to report that a monument that recognizes Madalyn O’Hare is being revealed. The reason it pleases me is because, in case you have not heard, I have it on good authority that Ms. O’Hare discovered there is a God, and He is Sovereign Lord of all creation. We can learn from her experience that to find Him now, rather than later, is an excellent thing.

The first U.S. public monument to Atheism is set to be unveiled outside a Florida courthouse later this month. It’s a granite bench engraved with secularist quotes. The 1,500 lb granite bench, which will be engraved with secularist quotes from figures like Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin, as well as American Atheists founder Madalyn Murray O’Hair. Shortly after arriving at her final destination, Ms. O’Hare learned that she will be separated from God forever. While given every opportunity to discover Christ’s infinite llove and sacrificial death on her behalf, she chose to remain blind to His gifts. Were the opportunity available for her to reconsider, I have no doubt she would.
