Distressing

Distressing: causing anxiety, sorrow or pain; upsetting: some very distressing news.

Sin abounds. Big, bold, “in your face” sin. Adults and children alike suffer from the evil that damages minds and hearts and leaves an uncertainty about our future as a society, and perhaps as a Nation.

Leadership in Government is at an all time low. Acquiring this World’s goods is the ultimate focus of most, and altruism seems a lost commodity in the mind of politicians.

The Church of Jesus Christ cowers at a clear proclamation of God’s revealed Truth. Few are willing to offend the enemies of God, and most folks are willing to compromise Scriptural values at any and every point.

We are losing the battle for the souls of men and women. Moral collapse is imminent. Financial collapse is on the horizon, and the masses embrace the former and refuse to consider the latter.

While we waste time on foolishness (e.g. global warming), many of the very lives proponents pretend to save will discover that the fires of Hell are hotter still and inescapable.

Anxiety, sorrow,  and pain, are the realities of modern life. Physical and mental health suffer, and the number of those who take their own life continues to expand.

Meanwhile, peace remains elusive. The Truth is, peace with God, and the peace of God, are seconds away. Nothing else is quite so valuable, yet so undervalued or missed entirely in our distressed lives.
