Double Standard
No one can deny that there are a lot of double standards when it comes to Republicans and Democrats, celebrities and unknowns, men and women, and people of various ethnic varieties, etc., ad infinitum.
In my time online today, I saw a dozen or so stories about how Roy Moore needs to get out of the race for the Senate, and one on how the Senate will expel him from the Senate if he is elected. He says he is innocent. I saw one story on Al Franken (sitting Senator) where he admits to sexually harassing a woman, and no one is sure what to do. No where did I read anything about whether he should “step down.” The Senate leader said the Ethics Committee should investigate, an overlooked step in relationship to Judge Moore. Other stories were present online today which included other sitting Congressmen who were accused of the same kind of activities. No word on “stepping down” or any other action.
Isn’t it wonderful that God has no “double standard. His standard and grace are the same for everyone, everywhere.
Romans 3:23: . . .for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;. . .
No exceptions, no lesser or greater failure. (Romans 6:23)
John 3:16: For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
No exceptions, no other way. (John 14:6)
