Favorite Gone
One of my favorite players (Marion Barber) is gone from the Cowboys. I suppose they (the management) have their reasons – but wasn’t he the sixth best running back in the league? I suppose one of the new rookies will be fifth best. . .or better. At least we can hope.
I was thinking that it might be a good thing if Churches could trade members. If your Church has one that is beginning to fade a bit, you could trade that one for another one who might, because of the new “situation,” be better than the one you gave up. Maybe you could package a couple of those who are planning to become members and move them somewhere in exchange for a “veteran” who is working well.
Perhaps it is an idea whose time has come. Better yet, why don’t we pay the members to come and let the staff “do it because they are supposed to.” My preacher is probably going to oppose that, but, hey, who can tell. Trades work for football – and football is a whole lot more popular than Church.
